Yeah, I've never heard that before tonight. It is SO true. Had a bit of a disagreement with the current little lady.
I related the event (involved story I will reserve until someone expresses interest) to a close friend and that was what she said immediately after laughing her ass off.
Turns out, at least in her family, it is an old adage.

I have been through most (raised my kid brother, but have no child of my own) and each was rewarding in its own way no matter how it turned out.
